This year CDR Youth meets young people in Diyarbakır, Adana, Aydın, İzmir and İstanbul. The free program for 18 to 25 year olds brings together online Academy modules, in-person workshops and a volunteer project development process.
How can we take part in decisions about democracy, rights and the cities we live in? At CDR Youth we explore this question together and open a space where young people can develop their own ideas and put them into practice.
What is in the program?
The program starts with the online modules of the CDR Youth Academy. Participants follow content on democracy, institutions and rights, inclusive participation, local governments, election security, media and disinformation, and youth poverty and social policy at their own pace.

After the Academy we meet in in-person workshops. Through group work and discussion we connect the topics of the modules to everyday life and explore together how young people can take part in decision-making.
Workshops run from 10.00 to 16.00 and lunch is included. We expect participants to attend the full workshop. We will share the venue and other details after you apply.
Certificate of participation and internship interview
Participants who complete the online Academy modules and an in-person workshop receive a certificate of participation.

After the program, participants can develop their own volunteer projects. Those who complete their projects get the chance to join a preliminary internship interview at CDR without sending a CV.

How to apply
If you are between 18 and 25, fill in the application form and choose the city you would like to join. Then sign up for the CDR Youth Academy and start the online content. We ask you to complete the modules before your in-person workshop.
